Batik is a traditional process of coloring textile through a series of waxing and dyeing. The process involves covering the areas of cloth which are not to be dyed with melted wax through the ‘tjanting’ or ‘stamping’ process ; the wax is later removed by immersion in boiling water. An exquisite batik piece is then hand painted with special care and attention given to the application of both design and color. Batik is a unique and exotic form of art. If you love creativity and appreciate beauty, batik is for you. It is an art form known and practiced almost all over the world.

Like any other handmade batiks, there may be occasional slight smearing of color and irregularity which adds to its uniqueness. There may also be some remaining wax or wax smell which is washable.
